Mango Kale is one of my favourite combination in a green smoothie. The mango makes the smoothie naturally sweet and very tasty. You can barely taste the kale when you mix it with mango.
Yesterday I made a similar combo with a more tropical taste – mango, kale and orange smoothie. The next day I decided to tweak the recipe and try the mango kale combo with apple. The result is quite different. Orange gives a pleasant sour aftertaste to the smoothie. Apple, on the other hand, gives a thick fluffy texture to the drink. It turns out really nice and sweet. Both of these recipes are made without banana, so if you want to avoid bananas in your smoothies, these recipes are both fantastic.

Mango Kale Apple Smoothie Ingredients
This simple yet delicious green smoothie made with only four ingredients: mangoes, kale, apple and almond milk. No banana is used and, frankly speaking, you won’t miss it.
In order to get a super smooth texture, blend this smoothie in two steps. First combine milk and kale. Process until you get an even consistency. Then add the mangoes and the apple. This is a simple trick on how to obtain a super creamy green smoothie.
Almond milk is my favourite liquid base for smoothie. However, you can replace it with any milk of your choice.
Remember that this smoothie contains a lot of Vitamin A and Vitamin K. Both are better absorbed with fat. For that reason it is best to use milk that contains some fat (only little is needed, really) or add some nuts or seeds if you choose to use zero-fat liquid.
For a more filling version of this smoothie, you can add either protein powder, a couple of tablespoons of rolled oats or some nuts or seeds. All this ingredients won’t change the taste but will keep you satisfied for longer time.

How to Cut Mango 5 Different Ways

In this video Stephen from Not Another Cookie Show demonstrates how to cut mangoes in 5 different ways. This is especially useful when you make your own smoothie bowls and want to decorate them with fresh mango.
