This strawberry spinach green smoothie is delicious. It’s so sweet and creamy. When I whipped it up, my hubby actually said that it was the tastiest green smoothie he had ever tasted 😀 This green smoothie requires no banana and is therefore a bit different from most smoothie recipes out there.
This smoothie is great even for those who don’t particularly like the taste of greens. If it wasn’t for the color, you would not guess that this smoothie is made with spinach. The strawberries give it a pleasant sour sweet taste, while the apple adds extra sweetness and makes the smoothie texture amazingly creamy.

How to Make a Smoothie Creamier and More Filling
There are two base fruits that can be used in smoothies to add extra sweetness and make the drink’s texture creamier – banana and apple. Both are great in their own way. A great thing about apples is that they contain fewer calories. So if banana isn’t your favourite fruit, I’d recommend using apples instead. I cannot imagine a smoothie recipe that would be spoiled by adding an apple to it 🙂
The recipe for this strawberry spinach green smoothie is rather simple. It can easily be boosted up by adding some yogurt, protein powder, ground nuts or seeds, or simply rolled oats or oat bran. All these ingredients won’t affect the taste of the drink but will definitely make it more filling.

How To Keep Spinach Fresh And Crisp
I love using fresh spinach in my smoothies. The main struggle with fresh produce is that it goes bad so quickly. If you are like me, you probably don’t want to go to the grocery store or a farmer’s market every time you want to make a green smoothie. The easy trick that Peter Roberts shares in the video below will keep your spinach (any greens, really) fresh two times longer. Give it a try if you are like me and always want to enjoy fresh greens in your smoothies.
Having said that, frozen spinach is actually surprisingly nutritious so if you want to use frozen spinach instead of fresh, the difference isn’t that big in terms of nutrition.
How to Make a Strawberry Rose
Do you want to make your smoothie even more beautiful? The videos below demonstrate two different ways that you can cut one of the bigger strawberries into a wonderful rose-like shape that is sure to impress your friends and family 🙂 There are many ways you can do this, but I find the techniques used in these two videos the most impressive.
How to Make An Easy Strawberry Rose
To make one of these good-looking, yet easy strawberry roses you need a paring knife, cutting board and a fork. This tutorial is one I would recommend beginners, since there are no more complicated steps that can potentially turn into a small disaster. Give it a try and let me know in the comments how it went 🙂
How to Make a Strawberry Rose
This strawberry rose tutorial is actually rather complex, but the result is amazing 😍 You will actually need two strawberries in order to make one rose. You will also need to have quite steady hands when moving the strawberry rose where you want it to be. Let me know if you have tried this, I am eager to see how you did 😊
